Brad Imes, all 6'6 and 255lbs plus of him, recently returned to the cage with a decisive win via gogoplata against, well, some no-name opponent at a show in Minnesota that featured, of all things, a gunshot in the arena. Luckily no one got hit, but a bullet that is.
Imes's career has certainly gone in a different direction than the man who beat him in the finale of The Ultimate Fighter a few seasons back, the fast-rising and still-undefeated UFC star Rashad Evans. While Evans remains undefeated, recently eking out a tough draw with perennial light-heavyweight contender, Tito Ortiz, Imes has lost a few decisions and been forced to continue fighting outside "the show" in the hopes a winning streak will get him another shot insid the Octagon.
Considering the sheer volume of shows the UFC is running now, though, that return should occur fairly fast for the still popular "Hillbilly Heartthrob."
